Presented by Sue Drake of Drake Resource Group.
The first Millennials graduated college in 2002, and entered the workforce at the same time Baby Boomers started preparing for retirement. It is estimated that seventy-six million Boomers will retire over the next 25 years, while there are only approximately 46 million Gen Xers in line after them. This means many of the leadership roles that are becoming vacant will have to be filled by Millennials.
To give you insight on how Millennials will impact and influence the workforce for the next 70 years from a leadership development perspective, Sue Drake of Drake Resource Group will outline the following topics in the virtual session, “Millennials Rising: 7 Ways to Prepare the Next Great Generation”:
• Can You Hear Me Now? How to Overcome Communication Barriers Between Generations
• Training vs. Mentorship – Which is Most Critical for Millennials?
• Realistic Goal Setting and Career Development for the Instant Gratification Generation (IGG)
• How to Make Gradual Company Culture Shifts
Millennials want increased responsibility, growth and development, recognition for achievement and balance. This is not much different than any other generation. However, if your company wants to prioritize the retention of your future leaders to capitalizing on this highly effective workforce, this discussion was created for you.
